Helping Ruth's Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
This October, my staff member and warrior friend Ruth Yovera received heartbreaking news: Stage 3 Triple Negative breast cancer.
Learning you have cancer never comes at a good time, but for Ruth and her husband, the timing of this diagnosis was devastating. The couple welcomed their third child, Christian, now age 1, to add to their growing family of 2 older girls, Sophia, now age 5, and Camila, age 11.
Just a couple of weeks after the start of the new school year, Ruth felt a lump that would eventually be biopsied. On November 21, she began her fight to beat this cancer with her first chemo/infusion treatment. Due to this year-long schedule of treatments, appointments, and surgeries, Ruth will, unfortunately, have the financial strain of cancer treatment guarantees. Financially, the family is already feeling the brunt of this devastating diagnosis. It has taken over two months of fighting for appointments and insurance coverage, having had to pay out of pocket to get the ball rolling and into treatment.
We humbly ask that you share Ruth’s story and prayerfully consider contributing to Ruth and her family by providing monetary donations for food, rent, utilities and car expenses during these first couple of months. Your love and support will greatly help Ruth and family have more time to focus on hope, strength, and healing during these trying times.
