My son Ray is a long distance truck driver, his wife Laurie is disabled with a lung disease and his son Chris has a severe case of Asperger's which keeps him from holding a job. Ray has a small dog he keeps with him on the truck and this last trip took Chris with him in the truck. He  was involved in  an accident which sent Ray to the hospital with a cracked vertebra and lacerations. Chris was trapped in the overturned truck and suffered a compound fracture of his femure, two cracked vertebrae, lacerations and his scalp was almost detached from his scull. He has had his scalp sewn back on, the femure has been set with a rod in his leg and he will need a skin graft where it has been torn from his hip. The dog suffered from burns on his body and face where hot oil had spilled from the engine.
Ray had started with this company just a few weeks ago after having a stellar record for 15 years with no accidents whatsoever. He will not be able to work for a while and does not know if he will even have a job once he recovers. In the meantime the bills are piling up, Chris is in the hospital 500 miles from home with no release date as yet.
