A Very Difficult but Hopeful Update
This isn’t an easy post to write, but it’s an honest one. Over the years, I’ve poured every part of myself into rescuing, healing, and loving so many beautiful souls, each one with their own story, their own fight for survival, and their own piece of my heart.
Even though I was never meant to keep them all, somewhere along the way, I did. I couldn’t let go — not when they needed me, not when I knew what they had survived.
But I’ve come to a bridge in my life where I have to make decisions that are not only best for the animals but also for myself and my mental health. It’s taken a lot of strength to admit that I can’t do it all on my own anymore. My home and personal situation have become very difficult, and while I can’t share everything just yet, my priority is — and always will be — making sure my babies are safe, loved, and have the forever homes they deserve.
So, with a heavy but hopeful heart, I will be preparing for the adoptions of:
Moon
Lilly
Betty
Echo
Maddie
Wonderful families are waiting for them — people who have shown real compassion and love:
✨ Roz will be welcoming sweet Echo into her heart and home.
✨ Roz’s brother will be adopting Lilly.
✨ Sabrina will be giving Moon and Lilly a beautiful life together in Germany.
✨ Dorothy will be taking Maddie, my gentle and loving girl.
I’m so grateful for every one of them. These are people who truly understand what rescue means — and I know my little family will be cherished forever.
About the costs:
• Each cat or dog needs £250 for blood tests.
• Transport to the UK costs £1,150, plus £80 in customs fees.
• For Germany, I’m still waiting for the final quote, but it should be around the same.
Roz is kindly covering Echo’s costs, and Sabrina has offered to help with Moon and Lilly—but I still need to raise the funds for Betty, Maddie, and part of Moon & Lilly’s journey.
This is a big ask, I know… but I believe we can do it together.
We have about three months to raise what’s needed, and every little bit — every share, every donation — brings us closer to giving these babies their happy endings.
Even though this chapter is full of mixed emotions, I remind myself that rescue means giving them a life beyond my own walls — one filled with peace, safety, and love. That’s all I’ve ever wanted for them.
Thank you for always standing beside me, through the tears, chaos, and miracles.

With love,
Shelly & the babies ✨
