Help Rebuild the Rancho Vista Vineyard

Hi there GP! Recently our community suffered a tragic fire that fortunately didn’t take any lives or houses but did as pictured, take the beautiful Rancho Vista Vineyard. This five-acre vineyard was planted in the early 1970’s by a GP local Larry Jamachi. Larry had a great passion and taste for Sauvignon Blanc grapes and fathered them to being the strong standing grape vines they are today. Throughout the years however, the vineyard has been bought and sold until it landed in the hands of the Tontchev family. Under their care the vineyard and its delicious wine have made its way all over the world to places like France, Bulgaria and Chicago! The Tontchevs moved here from Bulgaria and bought the vineyard back in 2021 and since then have offered visitors and the street amazing views. After having 2 caveman graduates the family then moved back to Bulgaria but since has made several visits to see their grapes, friends, family and enjoy our very alive pickleball community!

Unfortunately, shortly after a visit and dry harvest, the Rancho Vista vineyard was severely tested and exhausted by the Jones Creek fire. The fire started on a neighboring property and jumped burning the wood fence, irrigation fence and 50 years of hard work, great memories and of course delicious wine. Fortunately, the fire ended on the property due to our brave first responders and their resources. As pictured, you’ll notice a pond rests on the property and it protected not just the house on the property but also its neighbors. With that being said, I think it’s safe to say we owe a great hand to this family and their beautiful vineyard and show them why WE are GP. With only a few green leaves left they are left to start anew from scratch. These funds will go directly toward helping them recover their losses, rebuild the vineyard, pay for labor, replace equipment and secure water resources. Every dollar will help them get back on their feet and restore what was lost. Your support will make a real difference in their recovery, and together, we can show them they are not alone! In the coming weeks they will be traveling here to begin to assess their losses and organize. We are seeking financial support and any support from local farms or other vineyards who would be interested and able to donate equipment and or resources. Thank you please share!
