ABAD Day for Cancer: Memorial Fund

Just last month,  in May, our Dad started having sharp pains in his shoulder, chest and back that seemed to have come out of nowhere and he experienced rapid weight loss. On June 12, he was admitted to a hospital after a high fever and confusion. Overwhelming is an understatement. But, after multiple MRIs, CAT scans, biopsy and various other testings/procedures.. We have finally been given answers: There is a fracture in his vertebrae which has been alleviated with kyphoplasty and he has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.


My sisters, Rani & Tasha, and I, Kyla, have created this gofundme page in hopes to acquire financial support for our Dad because we simply cannot do this alone. Since 2001, he has been our rock and sole provider because our mom is unable to work due to Multiple Sclerosis. We are asking for assistance, from our extended family and friends, to relieve some stress regarding the accumulating medical bill costs so we can focus on our Dad's treatment plan. He is staying very positive and brave through it all, which is half of the battle!

Those that are lucky to know Ramon Abad can vouch for when we say that he is truly a jack of all trades! He is a loving husband of 27 years to Carmen, an understanding and incredibly patient father to three daughters, a busy grandpa to two little ones, a reliable coworker at Florida Hospital and ORMC & a genuine friend.
