My name is Rameda Lee, future Doctor of Chiropractic, current representative of the diversity that will be in medicine in 2021, and facing a significant Financial Aid hurdle in the last leg of my academic journey. I am asking for help with tuition by either a monthly pledge of $30 (setting aside $1 a day), a one-time pledge of $420, or an amount that you are able to donate.
With the final terms of my curriculum on the horizon and the “Finish Line” now coming into view, a financial obstacle is threatening my ability to complete the program I started three plus years ago at National University of Health Sciences, Lombard, IL. Until now - and as it has been the entirety of my college/university experience - I have taken out student loans to cover the cost of tuition. Consequently, there is a tremendous debt and economic burden that must be overcome, even before I accomplish what I am seeking to achieve. In the hopes of getting a “jump start” on being in a position to repay, I launched a business in 2018 that did not yield the desired outcomes and in the wake of COVID-19, this new business was certainly facing challenges that would not be overcome. With that said, the impact of the business losses now effects my ability to borrow which effects my ability to cover tuition costs which is why I am asking for help.
There is truly a need for diversity of doctors and especially those who choose natural means to promote and facilitate health and well-being. To have the opportunity to be of service to the traditionally underserved and to do good works as a result of receiving a quality education, acquiring medical training and skills, and participating in Clinic Internship rotations is truly a blessing and I have come too far to come up short at the end. I am definitely capable and passionate about becoming a physician and having a practice that does great works. I just need help crossing “The Finish Line.” Will you consider contributing to my journey and helping turn the dream of being a Doctor of Chiropractic into a reality? At minimum, if you would be willing to set aside $1 per day and on the 30th of the month, commit $30 to this journey (especially in a recurring pledge or by making a one-time pledge of $420), your contribution would make a significant difference in helping to ensure that tuition funds are available for successful completion of my academic curriculum at National University of Health Sciences in August 2021!
