Our Mother’s Cancer Treatment Journey
Dear friends, neighbors, and members of our community,
I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments my family has ever faced. My mother, Joyce White, Last year she was diagnosed with HLH (Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, a rare, life-threatening condition in which the immune system becomes hyperactive, attacking the body’s own cells and causing severe inflammation and organ damage). and underwent chemotherapy and recently has been diagnosed with Aggressive Large B‑Cell Non‑Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a fast‑moving and difficult cancer that requires intensive treatment. She is now beginning her second round of aggressive chemotherapy, and her treatment is every 21 days and is expected to last at least six months or longer. The physical, emotional, and financial toll has been overwhelming.
Joyce has been a part of this community for over 40 years—a familiar face, a helping hand, and someone who has always shown up for others. She has always sacrificed for her children, putting our needs before her own, no matter how difficult things were. Now, as she faces this fight, she needs the support of the community she has loved and contributed to for so long.
To help ease the financial burden of her travel, lodging, and treatment‑related expenses, there will be a donation account set up at Old West Federal Credit Union, as well as donation jars placed at local businesses for anyone who wishes to contribute. Every bit of support—no matter the amount—will go directly toward helping her get to and from her treatments safely throughout these long months ahead.
If you’re able to donate, share this message, or keep her in your thoughts, it would mean more to us than words can express. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support.
With gratitude,
Ashley and Family
