Rally Around Ashley With Love and Support

Hi friends, family, and supporters,

We’re writing with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to share that our dear Ashley has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s the kind of news that shakes your world and yet, Ashley continues to meet each day with the same quiet strength, thoughtfulness, and determination that defines who she is.

Ashley is currently pursuing her PhD in Prevention Science at Washington State University, a path she’s followed with deep purpose and dedication. While many might pause or step away in the face of a diagnosis like this, Ashley is doing her best to keep going, continuing her research, attending classes, and showing up, even on the hardest days.

She and her partner Stephen are facing this challenge together, along with their four beloved cats. As anyone who’s been through something like this knows, it takes more than love and willpower to get through. The emotional, physical, and financial toll of treatment is intense and often unpredictable.

That’s why we’re reaching out, not just to ask for support, but to build a circle of care around Ashley as she goes through this chapter. Contributions will go directly toward things like medical costs, treatment-related travel, and day-to-day needs while she focuses on healing. More than anything, this is about giving Ashley a little breathing room and a reminder that she’s not alone.
