Cycling to Support Living Organ Donors
Tax deductible
Seven years ago this September, Kristen made an amazing sacrifice for me & my family. After trying dozens of liver donors, Kristen was called to be a LIVING ORGAN DONOR and saved my life. As part of this process, we called on our friends, family, & communities to help us with the costs associated with a living donor transplant- including housing, flights, and medical bills- none of this was covered by insurance.
To continue to pay that forward, Kristen is riding 100 miles in two days (September 18th/19th) to raise money for AMERICAN TRANSPLANT FOUNDATION. This organization provides funds to donors like Kristen, recruits pilots to fly donors, and they have a living donor wait list for those who are trying to find kidney and liver donors. It's a great 501c3 based in Denver helping folks like us all over the country.
To celebrate SEVEN YEARS OF SUCCESS, could you pledge up to $7 per mile for Kristen's ride? Any donation (flat rate is great too!) between $7 and $700 would be directly donated to the AMERICAN TRANSPLANT FOUNDATION to give to other worthy recipients. (and you get a tax deduction directly from them-- whoo hoo!)
I'll be cheering on my bestie and matching your donations up to $2000! (that's right- we are going big here!)
