Jaylon's Legal & Medical Fund

Donation protected
On October 20, 2020, Jaylon Butler was #SweptAway at a peaceful protest in Providence along with dozens of others in support of #JusticeForJhamal. He was detained without charges, zip tied and thrown into an unventilated police van. Witnesses state that he began to have a seizure, the police refused to help him, and instead beat him unconscious. They handcuffed him to his hospital bed, where he was refused due process, visitors, or human dignity for DAYS.

While his family and supporters have gotten Jaylon out of the hospital, free from immediate threats to his freedom, and back to his waking life, he has a long road ahead of him. Everything from medical to legal expenses and other costs associated with being taken away from his work, family, and community are piling up. He and his family can use your support.

The police can never give back what they took away from him. Won't you please chip in what you can to help Jaylon and his family in the weeks ahead?

All funds are going directly to our family. This is the ONLY official fundraiser for Tro Butler. Thank you for reaching out to your friends and neighbors on our behalf so we can  help Jaylon begin to move on with his life.
