Raise a Roof: Community Support for Homeowners in Need

Let me begin by introducing myself. I am Josh West and I run a small, family owned & operated roofing business called WestSlope Roofing in Sanford, NC. Our business thrives on assisting homeowners who have roofs that have been affected by weather related events. We understand that roofs are not something people typically pull money out of their back pocket for; they're generally out-of-sight, out-of-mind, and a costly expense that homeowner's dread even thinking about. In a perfect world, every 15-20 year old roof would be covered for repairs or a replacement under a homeowner's insurance policy & the policyholder would only be responsible for a small fraction of the total job cost (deductible).

Unfortunately a lot of roofs are simply deemed "old" rather than "damaged" and when the storm damage isn't convincing enough, a majority of insurance carriers unfortunately will not pay a dime towards repairs or a replacement. This leaves homeowners with the inevitable; a costly problem literally hanging over their head.

It is our mission to assist these unlucky homeowners with protecting their homes. I am proud to announce that 2% of every roof replacement and gutter installation that WestSlope Roofing conducts will be allocated to this fundraiser.

How will these funds be utilized?

A portion of these proceeds will be used to cover the cost of materials and the remaining funds will be used to pay for the labor portion of the project. As of today, our main goal is to replace 1 full roof using the company's proceeds by the end of year 2024. Our future goal is to continue fundraising in the hopes of replacing not just 1 roof per year, but many, for families in need.

Who will the funds go to?

Homeowners who have postponed imperative roof repairs or replacements due to a lack of funding will benefit hugely from this fundraiser. Rest assured, any and all contributions made to this fund, will go directly toward securing the safety and integrity of a property, and in turn, an individual or family in need.

We love our homeowners and each and every one of our supporters and we want to thank them by paying it forward. All progression made as a result of this fundraiser will happily and proudly be updated & posted with each fortunate recipient.
