UPDATE 5/9/2022: Ok FINALLY I have some news for you all. Drum roll please.....Rachel Rama was selected for the Dances With Films Festival in Los Angeles; a top festival in the US! Which means... RACHEL RAMA will be having its World PREMIER at the iconic Chinese Theater in Hollywood!!! Very exciting :). A huge thank you to each and every one of you that donated and believed in me and made this happen. I (literally) could not have done it without you and your support and can't wait to show you all the finished product.

I was hoping to have a virtual and in person premier for the cast, crew and contributors before any film festivals but this particular festival's requirement was that the film had to be making its world premier (never been screened before). Soooo...I'd still love to host you all for a free in person screening in July (TBD) as well as a virtual screening for those of you outside of LA. But I'd also LOVE to invite you our official premier at Dances With Films on June 11.

We are scheduled in the TV Pilots section and will be showing Saturday, June 11 at 4:45pm. https://danceswithfilms.com/. Should be fun!

They are just starting to announce the lineup and tickets have not been released yet but should go live next Thursday, May 12. Tickets are $19 per screening before June 9.

UPDATE: That’s a wrap on production! 5 incredible days of filming, 13 amazing cast members, 9 talented crew on set, and the most generous locations I could ever hope for including Long Beach Creamery, Au Lac Restaurant and Sacred Roots Holistic Healing. As a first time filmmaker I was overwhelmed and so grateful for all the donations to get this project made. And now, as most first time filmmakers find out, we still need a bit more funding to get us over the finish line and get our film submitted to upcoming film festivals and complete post production. I’m still needing to raise another $700 to cover our final days of production and submissions to upcoming festivals. So many of you have already generously donated so please only give if you are able. Please know anything helps to get this project completed and shared with the world. For the first time ever I'm going to be producing and acting in my own TV pilot and I need your help to do it! I've co-written a super funny 30 minute TV pilot with a dear friend and creative partner Michael Ker who will also be directing. This is what they call in the business a pilot presentation with the potential to submit to film festivals and get looked at by different TV networks. This new series,  'Rachel Rama', is loosely based off of my own life and comedic experiences navigating the blurry millennial landscape of Los Angeles.  


This will be a low budget production set to start filming at the end of July 2021.  I'm so excited to not only get the community involved, but to also have your help in making it happen. I have a producer who is willing to match up to $1,500 of whatever I can raise which means I'm needing to raise $2,200 more to give it the green light.  Money raised will be going  directly towards equipment, crew, wardrobe, renting locations,  and feeding the cast & crew. Any contribution from $5, $20, $50 to $100 or more would be so helpful and you can rest knowing that you are not only part of creating something new, but also supporting female filmmakers in 2021. And on a personal note, you'd  be helping me stay afloat creatively during one of the hardest years we've all had.  


In exchange, you'll be listed in the credits , be given a VIP ticket to the private virtual screening/celebration and be updated about the project if you choose.

Rachel Rama follows Rachel as she navigates the blurry landscape of millennial dating and the new age lifestyle in Los Angeles. Guided by her own innocence, loveable naivety and desire to fit in, Rachel soon finds out the trouble she can get into by being too open or too empathetic to others. Comedy ensues as she meets some truly interesting characters along the way to figuring out what she really wants and who she authentically is.
