I am writing on behalf of a co-worker of mine who has recently attempted to fend off a number of Life’s challenges.
Thomas and Taylor Rodgers have been married for about 2 years and have a three-year-old (Ivy) and a 2-month-old (Bear). Thomas has a full-time job in the Construction Material Distribution business while also being a Fire Support Specialist (Forward Observer) in the S.C. Army National Guard. Taylor is in the Physical Fitness industry and serves as a personal fitness trainer.
Recently, during the birth of their second child, Taylor suffered two torn labrums in her hips. The resulting pain and debilitation of these injuries has forced her into limited mobility and having to walk with a walker. Caring for the children or even carrying her newborn are both extremely difficult at this time. She is also needing steady doctor care and full-time attention to her daily health and wellbeing. Working a job right now in her profession is impossible.
Thomas of course is now trying to take care of his two infant children while providing aid and comfort to Taylor. He has been forced to miss some work and still must answer the bell for his duties with the National Guard. Many of the full-time care needs and doctors’ procedures are not covered under Thomas’ medical Benefits package.
Currently, this former two income family, is now working with one income and decreasing hours for Thomas due to his other priorities. Medical bills are piling on, stress is piling on, and unfortunately, the path to health and wealth is currently narrow.
To add insult to injury, the recent heavy rains in their neighborhood flooded them out of their apartment. This young family is valiantly fighting off this load of lemons that landed on their plate. However, you will never see or hear Thomas complaining of his dilemma. He always has a smile on his face and joy in his heart. He is determined to turn these lemons into lemonade, and we want to do all we can to help his family overcome this incredible “obstacle course” of Life.
To that end we have established this Go Fund Me Account to do our part in helping this young and deserving family start to at least receive some relief in their financial struggles.
THANK YOU!
