Rock N' Roll Robots to Worlds 2015
"It's a sport for the mind!"
The Rock N' Roll Robots, FTC Team 25, greatly need your donations. Please see below for updates from our latest tournament!
We are the Rock N' Roll Robots (RNRR) Team 25, a Girl Scout FIRST Tech Challenge team from Los Angeles, CA. We have 16 girls and 6 mentors.
FIRST Tech Challenge is the third division of the FIRST programs where middle/high schoolers all over the world build robots and compete against each other for the top awards. To learn more about FIRST visit usfirst.org.
On the last weekend of March, we competed at the West Super Regional tournament with 71 other teams. Through a great effort put forth by our entire team, we were able to be a part of the Gold Division Winning Alliance and play in the event finals! This allowed us to qualify for the World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 22-25, 2015 competing with the top 128 FTC robotics teams from all over the world.2014-2015 Captain's Council: (starting at top left, going clockwise): Allison-Build Captain, Tabatha-Fundraising Captain, Linda-Outreach Captain, Makayla-Workshop Captain, and Ariel-Team Captain
What we've accomplished is exceptional, but we won't be able to compete without your help. So now we're asking for your support to help get us to World Championships. Your donation will help us to pay for robot and supply shipping, travel costs, and spare parts for our robot, BAE-Max.
Each donation makes a big difference to our team. Because we are a community team, we are able to create more opportunities for girls all over the region to get involved in STEM activities. This also means that the team works tirelessly to ensure that we raise enough funds to keep the team sustainable for many years to come.Glamour shot of our competition robot, BAE-Max

The Rock N' Roll Robots continue to serve as a great example of diversity and women in STEM. In the past eight years, they have inspired many young women to join FIRST programs and participate in STEM activities by hosting workshops, spreading the message of FIRST, and hosting qualifying tournaments in their own community. We take pride in our ability to make technically advanced robots and build women of sound character and skill. We also hold valuable relationships with industry professionals at JPL, Cisco, and SpaceX (to name a few).Teammates demonstrating our robot, Monkey, at 2015 Los Angeles FRC Regional tournament
