RNLI Blyth Lifeboat Station - 2025 Car Wash
Your Support Saved Lives — Let’s Do It Again, Even Bigger!!
On Saturday 12th July 2025, we’re holding our annual Car Wash Fundraiser at the lifeboat station, and we’re hoping to make it our biggest and best one yet.
Last year, with just buckets, sponges, and a lot of elbow grease, we managed to wash 95 cars in one day — and raised over £3,500. That money helped keep our lifeboats on the water, funded crew training, and be there when the pager sounds.
This year, we’re aiming higher — 100 cars and £4,000 — and for the first time ever, we’re going virtual - but we need your help!

We know not everyone can make it down to the station on the day. Some of you are away, working, or even supporting us from the other side of the world. So this year, for the first time, you can take part in our car wash from wherever you are — by donating online and supporting us virtually.
Whether you're in Blyth or Brisbane, Lethbridge or Ijmuiden, your support means the world — and every donation helps us save lives.
Why it matters
We’re ordinary people, just like you, who’ve chosen to volunteer our time to save lives at sea. Some of us are teachers, engineers, business owners. Some are full-time parents, juggling school runs and bedtime stories. Others are retired paramedics who’ve made Northumberland their home after a life "down south".
But when the pager goes off — whether it’s Christmas Day, the middle of the night, a family birthday, or just as the BBQ hits its stride — we drop everything and respond.

Our mission is simple: to save lives at sea, no matter the hour, no matter the sacrifice.
How you can help:
Donate whatever you can — it all adds up with a 'virtual car wash'
Come down and get your car/van/camper/trailer... anything really, washed on 12th July (10am–3pm)
