Rhode Island's Scarborough Beach Drowning HERO

I am listing this GoFundMe request on behalf of the family of a hero from a tragic act of bravery. Idmael was a father, husband, brother, and son, a loyal friend, a knowable, good-hearted man.

Sunrise: December 16th, 1984 - Sunset: July 18th, 2023.

After an eventful day of hard work, Idmael set out to the beach to spend some quality time with his son and nieces. While at Scarborough beach, two young people started to drown. As the mother of the drowning victims frantically screamed in agony for help, Idmael selflessly ran into the waving waters without hesitation to help rescue the casualties.

During this heroic act, Idmael became a victim himself. As his son, nieces, and sister-in-law waited for him to come above shore to return, sadly he did not make it. It is with a heavy heart to have to lose such a wonderful soul from this earth.

Regrettably, due to unforeseen loss of Idmael, I ask on the family's behalf to hear out his story and help keep his legacy alive by helping during this time of grief. Idmael leaves behind a wife, 12-year-old son, and 3-year-old daughter. Any monetary gifts donated will be given to his family and greatly appreciated.
