In Loving Memory of Franklyn Cardenas

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Franklyn Cardenas, a beloved son, brother, and friend whose presence brought light, unity, and unconditional love to everyone around him.

Franklyn was the son of Gloria Patiño and Bayron Cardenas, and the cherished brother of Mauricio, Catherine, and Bryant. Born and raised in New York City, Franklyn later moved to Miami in 2006, where he graduated from Everglades High School and continued building the life and relationships he valued so deeply.

From an early age, Franklyn was known for his joyful spirit and gentle heart. He avoided conflict and instead chose understanding, patience, and compassion. He was the glue that held the family together, always checking in, always listening, and never rushing a conversation if someone needed him. Franklyn would talk for hours just to make sure you were okay, and he never ended a call or message without reminding you, “I love you.”

Family meant everything to Franklyn. He openly shared that he did not wish to marry or have children, not out of lack of love, but because he wanted to dedicate himself fully to the family he already had. His loyalty, emotional presence, and selflessness were constant and genuine.

This GoFundMe has been created to support Franklyn’s family during this incredibly difficult time, helping with funeral expenses and other unforeseen costs as they grieve the loss of someone who meant so much to so many.

Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Franklyn and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Franklyn’s love, kindness, and unwavering care for others will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
