Aidez REWILD à acheter un zoo et à ré-ensauvager le monde !
Les amis, on a besoin de vous. On a besoin de vous pour réaliser un projet complètement fou : acheter le zoo de Pont-Scorff, afin de libérer des milliers d’animaux sauvages. L’objectif est colossal mais avec votre aide, on peut y arriver.
Pourquoi acheter un zoo nous direz-vous ?
D’abord, pour que les 560 animaux sauvages qui s’y trouvent aujourd’hui soient libérés pour les renvoyer dans leur milieu d’origine et rendus à la vie sauvage. Ensuite après mutation, ce lieu deviendra un centre de réhabilitation, pour accueillir les animaux sauvages issus du trafic et saisis par la justice française. Depuis le centre, ils seront renvoyés dans leur pays d’origine pour recouvrer la liberté.
En un mot REWILD ! C’est un verbe anglais qui signifie "inverser le processus de domestication et/ou restaurer un habitat naturel en y faisant revenir les animaux sauvages qui y vivaient à l’origine ».
REWILD est une organisation créée par 7 associations fondatrices spécialisées dans la défense, la sauvegarde, le soin, la réhabilitation et la saisie d'animaux sauvages victimes de trafics et la protection des habitats naturels. (Sea Shepherd, Centre Athénas, Hisa, Le Biome, One Voice, Wildlife Angels, Darwin)
En 40 ans, nous avons exterminé 60% des animaux sauvages de la planète. Aujourd’hui, l’Homme et les animaux qu'il a domestiqués (animaux de ferme et animaux de compagnie) représentent 96% des mammifères. Après la destruction des habitats naturels, le trafic et le commerce d'animaux sauvages sont la deuxième cause de leur disparition.
C'est là notre mission et pour y parvenir nous avons aujourd'hui une opportunité unique qui ne se représentera peut-être jamais. Acheter un zoo et le transformer en un tremplin vers la liberté pour les centaines d'animaux sauvages qui s'y trouvent et pour tous ceux qui sont issus du trafic.
Pour réussir ce pari fou, nous avons besoin du soutien de tous. Un contrat de vente (soumis à conditions) a été signé le 16 décembre 2019 avec le propriétaire du zoo. A compter de cette date, nous avons 5 mois pour lever les 600 000 euros nécessaires à l'acquisition définitive du zoo. Faute de quoi, nous devrons le restituer à son propriétaire (avec les animaux) et renoncer à ceprojet.
Si nous y arrivons en revanche, ça sera une première mondiale et l'amorce d'une nouvelle ère dans notre rapport au monde sauvage.

we need your help in order to carry out an incredible project: to buy the Pont-Scorff Zoo in Brittany, France and give a second chance to thousands of wild animals.
The challenge is very huge, but together we can make it.
Why buy a zoo, you might ask?
First, so that its 560 detained wild animals can be freed, sent back in their natural habitat or at the very least, to sanctuaries.
REWILD is a coalition founded by Sea Shepherd France and 6 other French NGO’s (Sea Shepherd, Centre Athénas, Hisa, Le Biome, One Voice, Wildlife Angels, Darwin) specialized in the defense, conservation, care, rehabilitation, seizing of wild animals victims of trafficking and in the protection of natural habitats.
REWILD means « to revert the domestication process and/or to protect an environment and return it to its natural state, by bringing back wild animals that used to live there »
In 40 years, we have exterminated 60% of wild animals on the planet. Today, men and the animals they domesticated (farm animals and pets) represent 97% of all mammals. After the destruction of wildlife’s natural habitat, trafficking and trading are the second cause of its extinction.
Our mission is to protect wild animals and today, we have a unique opportunity to do so, one that might never come up again: to buy a zoo and to turn it into an open door to freedom for the hundreds of animals living in it, as well as for victims of wildlife trafficking.
To succeed in this challenge, we need the support of every one of you. A sales agreement (under conditions) was signed with the owner of the zoo on December 16th, 2019. From this date on, we have 5 months to raise the €600,000 we need to acquire the zoo. Otherwise we will have to give it back to the owner, along with all the animals locked in it, and to give up this project.
If we do make it, it will be a world premiere, and the start of a new era in our relationship to Wildlife.
