RBG Swim Team Hopefuls

I am the Physical Education teacher at Buttonwillow School. Buttonwillow School is in Buttonwillow, CA, a very small, low-socioecomic agricultural town. I am writing this on the behalf of eight wonderful students who would like to join the RBG Swim Team this summer.
Last year the teachers and staff of Buttonwillow School were able to put together enough money at the last minute to sponsor four students who were not able to afford to participate. All four girls had a great experience!
The RBG Swim team gives children the opportunity to grow athletically, mentally and socially. Swimming is very physically and mentally demanding, and will teach them dedication and determination. They are also able to make new friends from all over Kern County.
We will be paying $2150 for 8 swimmers. I also accounted additional $40 to purchase each swimmer a practice suit.
Joining the swim team will open another door for these girls to be succesfull and better themselves. Every penny donated will help. All eight ladies are very dedicated to everything they do in the classroom and athletics and they are very deserving of the opportunity to be a part of the RBG Swim Team.
