Due to trauma to his brain, it appears John is developing Cerebral Palsy. John has been in the hospital for 2 of his 4 months, and his mother would like to have him be treated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy RIGHT AWAY!
The benefits of this treatment could be life changing by the fusion of pure oxygen into the body and brain, stimulating the healing process in John's brain. When cells in the brain die, either from trauma or lack of oxygen, blood plasma leaks out into surrounding brain tissue causing swelling and reducing blood flow. These otherwise normal cells go dormant because they can't function without the appropriate amount of oxygen.
HBOT dramatically increases the oxygen carried in the blood plasma, making oxygen available to heal damaged capillary walls, preventing plasma leakage and reducing swelling. As the swelling decreases, blood flow can be restored to the dormant tissue (neovascularization) and these cells then have the potential to function again.
This treatment is not covered by insurance. The protocol for this treatment is at least 40 treatments, and the cost is $125 per treatment.
We would love it if you could help sponsor this baby and help offset the cost for his family. Thank you for your help!
The Richard A. Neubauer Research Institute is a 501(c)(3), dedicated to the research, education, and offsetting the cost of Hyperbaric Oxygen Institute to brain injured individuals. All funds donated will be processed through the Institute (www.ranri.org).
