Help! Quavo needs new knees

Recently, Quavo has been diagnosed with cranial cruciate ligament disease which has caused his CCL (ACL equivalent in humans) in both knees to rupture. This has caused him to become completely lame in his back right knee and paritally lame in his back left knee.
Quavo has been experiencing pain and dysfunction in his hind legs to the point here he won't put any weight on his back right paw. Outside of our concern that he is in pain and living a miserable life, we are worried that he will damage his left ligament even more due to the lameness in his right hind leg.

The surgery that is required for Quavo's condition has a high success rate but comes at a cost. The specialist would prefer that we have both of Quavo's legs worked on at the same time.

The funds raised will be put directly into paying for his surgery, which is at an estimated cost of $3,000 per leg. This cost includes bloodwork, anesthesia, the proceedure, and pain relief medications for recovery. On top of the cost of his surgery me or Gloria will have to take a week off work to make sure his initial recovery goes smoothly.

Quavo has been a huge part of me and Gloria's life. At 18 and 19 years old we never thought a puppy would come into our lives, but Quavo did. In the summer of 2014 Gloria and I found Quavo all alone trapped inside an abandond fenced patio area on our vacation in San Diego. He was hiding from the heat in a tiny suitcase. We knew from that moment he needed our help. He was skinny and loosing his fur from malnutrition and dehydration.

We saved his life and became the three amigos. Gloria and I had taken in a rescue dog but in many ways he has rescued us. He is not just our pet but he is our family and bestfriend.

Being so young and naive, we had no idea of the challenges life brings. I have battled with addiction for the last four years constantly trying to sober up. Through the experience of addiction I have seen the underground of the society we live in.  Encountering homelessness to witnessing violence, Quavo had always been there to protect and comfort me. When I felt like ending it all Quavo was my light throught the darkness and my purpose in life. He always gave me the willingness to fight. The combination of his love with the unconditional love of Gloria, I have managed to remain sober to this day.

However, I am not the only one Quavo has supported. Here is Gloria's experience in her words.
"The last four years have pushed me to my limits and broke me down to pieces. Quavo has always been there to lick away my tears and cuddle me through the lonely nights. He is my other set of ears and eyes to protect me in ways I cannot protect myself. He has shown me unconditional love and understanding for what it means to be a dog mommy. Quavo is the definition of loyalty and has taught me the true meaning of devotion. It would be an understatement to say that I need Quavo more than he needs me. "

Please help us give Quavo his new knees. It means so much to us to give our bestfriend his quality of life back. This is a major finacial hit to us as we are just getting back on track to a better life, but that means nothing to us if our little buddy isn't happy too. Your donations will be appreciated unconditionally. Anything helps.
