Restoring Honor to Putnam County Veterans' Service
The Putnam County Veterans Wall of Honor Park, located near the center of Eatonton, is a 15,500 square park that contains a 10x27’ head wall and six additional walls bearing 1,800 brick tiles with the names, branch of service, and dates of service of individual Putnam County Veterans.
Since the Putnam County Veterans’ Wall was erected in 2013, this tribute to our service men and women has fallen into disrepair. The mission is to restore this important community wall to its former glory and draw attention to the sacrifices made for our nation by so many local families.
Over the years, the weather has faded and peeled paint. Erosion has impacted the integrity of the main wall structure, and damage to the substrate material has caused the wall to crack and crumble. Restoration will include replacement of substrate material, installation of new bronze lettering, and military crest replacement. Any excess funds raised will be used to update the landscaping and maintain the park.
With your donation, we are able to honor and remember our local American heroes who have defended our freedom in the past and continue to do so today. Donate today and tell us about a Veteran that inspires you.
