Pursuit of Peace on the Farm

Family, Friends, Fellow Veterans, and Amazing Anonymous Americans
,  I humbly request your help in achieving a life-long dream of owning my parents incredible farm to start a new chapter of life for my four amazing children and Zeus, my service dog.

After serving 16 years in the U.S. Army, I was medically retired due to PTSD and Depression after 7 combat deployments (6 x Iraq / 1 x Afghanistan).

When I was released from the Wounded Warrior Battalion in 2016, I was a mess.  So, I moved back to my parents farm in Pennsylvania for the love and support I needed to rebuild my life and to find some semblance of tranquility, peace, and hope.

Look, the reality is: I owe my parents my life.  Their support, generosity, and unconditional love was and is the reason I am here today and able to cope with the daily issues of my life and accepting the past.   In fact, this go fund me page isn't just about me.  It is about my parents too.   Because if I am able to buy their farm, then I can - in some small way - repay them for all the love and support by providing the ability for them to build a new ranch style house that is much more comfortable and accommodating to them after living an extremely hard life on the farm for the past 46 years.

Along with my parents help and children's love I was also determined to own a German Shepard, just like we had on the farm when I was a boy.  That's where my buddy Zeus comes in.  Back in 2016 I found him through a breeder and this incredible service dog has been with me every days since; waiting at the end of the driveway for me when I get home, always ready to hit tennis balls in the front field, chomping on bubbles or leaves throughout the yard, or go swimming in our pond.  In fact, Zeus has seen me through some of the most devastating times and continues to be the catalyst to continue to this fight.

This year, especially among the COVID pandemic, things have been very rough, but my parents and I never gave up hope.  So, when I finally could apply for a VA Loan to purchase the farm in September, I actually started to believe that the dream of owning my parents farm was becoming a reality.

However, as we get closer to the closing date at the end of October, I still find myself 3,000 dollars short of being able to pay my portion of the closing costs and now another 10,000 dollars short of being able to install a new reverse osmosis water system to treat our well water.

I feel incredibly humbled if you have read this request for help, because it is not in my nature to ask anyone beyond family for help - especially when it comes to money - but this is a dire situation and I need help.

If you have donated, I cannot thank you enough for your selfless act.   It means the absolute world to me, my incredible parents, my loving children, and my best buddy, Zeus.

God Bless You and Thank You.
