Who We Are
Pukalani STEM Imagineers are a group of fourteen 4th and 5th graders from Pukalani Elementary, a public school in which 55% of all students are financially disadvantaged. Located on the island of Maui, our school has a wonderfully diverse student population and an innovative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program.
Our Accomplishments
One of our proudest STEM accomplishments is our robotics program. For the second year in a row, our robotics teams are headed to the VEX IQ World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky! At this year’s invitational Hawai'i State Championship, our teams scored extremely well in the Teamwork Challenge and took 3rd place in Programming Skills. Most notably, for the second consecutive year, we won 1st place in the state of Hawai’i for our STEM Research Project!
Why Your Donation Matters
We are the only elementary school from Maui and one of only two public elementary schools that will be representing Hawai'i at the World Championship. As our school is located in a low-income neighborhood, we know that the students' families will not be able to afford the high costs for travel and competition. We are are currently seeking to raise $25,000 for travel, lodging, food, and robot parts and supplies. Every donation we receive, big or small, will help us reach this goal. Even if you cannot make a donation, please share this page with your friends and family.
