K.E.E.P (Kichaka Expeditions Environmental Program) is based in Tanzania's Ruaha National Park, a vast wilderness which houses a stronghold of African Elephants – a main keystone species. K.E.E.P has been created in an attempt to keep these areas as well as the communities that surround them intact, and help them flourish in the long term, both through Ecosystem protection and jobs.
While encompassing many different projects, K.E.E.P considers its main and current priority the protection of the ecosystem’s elephants. Now in conjunction with S.T.E.P (Southern Tanzania Elephant Program), Kichaka Expeditions will be collaborating with their staff and sharing equipment and expertise to implement a Ranger Training Program. Rangers are of paramount importance to assist in conducting the difficult, arduous and sometimes highly dangerous duties and S.T.E.P & K.E.E.P want to provide them with better training, backup and equipment. We want to help them in their mission to become more efficient and confident in protecting our fragile and dwindling wild areas.
You can help as well! $1 = 1Lt of petrol for a car or plane. We need to keep our rangers patrolling to safeguard the wildlife and create opportunities of education and work for trainee rangers. Donate today and make a difference!
