Protect the Bull's Head Inn

The Bull's Head Inn is a historic restaurant and tavern in Cobleskill, New York. Originally built in 1802 as an inn, it has been a mainstay of the community for over two centuries; a place where guests could count on good food, sturdy drink, and warm hospitality. In 2011, the Schoharie Valley suffered terrible damage from the worst flooding on record as a result of the devastating storms Irene and Lee. Though the building was not physically damaged by flooding, the local economy suffered greatly. The business fell on hard times, its contents sold at auction, and the property put on the market.  In 2013, the property was purchased by new owners who undertook a complete renovation. Christopher Guldner, a successful restaurant entrepreneur and Mary Sagendorf, a lifelong Schoharie County resident, along with Chris' son Kevin, a U.S. Navy pilot together saw the opportunity to bring the landmark back to its former glory. In order to properly return the facility to operation, significant repairs and improvements need to be made including the installation of a fire sprinkler system throughout the entire building and an associated new water main. This campaign's goal is to raise funds to help offset a good portion of this fire protection system's cost as necessary to return the Bull's Head Inn to its place in the community.  Donor's are also welcome to select from a list of sponsorable items (rooms, tables, etc.) listed on our web site at
