David needs help fighting Goliath!
Our grassroots Lodi Area Neighbors Alliance, LANA, is supporting a LANA member's lawsuit against Toll Brothers and we need your help!
Our Township Board felt too intimidated to reject Toll’s luxury home development even though it violates our ordinances.
• Toll plans to create multiple private wastewater treatment plants that will discharge thousands of gallons of treated wastewater into our local streams and wetlands every day. Worse yet, Toll has no adequate back-up systems to prevent raw sewage from being released into the local waterway—the Rouse Drain--in the event of a single equipment failure or operator error.
• Toll will also discharge polluted runoff into our streams and wetlands and create concern over flooded yards and basements and dry wells for downstream neighbors. Leveled forest and hills will feed the runoff.
How can Toll get away with this? Toll used its massive resources to strong-arm our Lodi Township Board into disregarding our comprehensive environmental ordinances and our prohibition against private wastewater treatment plants. The Township felt threatened by Toll and at great risk for a bankrupting lawsuit.
Now we—a group of Lodi neighbors--are taking Toll Brothers to court!
We believe Toll's trampling of private property rights has given LANA a fighting chance to stand up to Toll’s team of big money lawyers and say enough is enough - as laid out in a LANA member’s Complaint.
