Prosthetic Knee Fundraiser

Hi guys, my name is Estevan and I am setting up this fund raiser to help get me the prosthetic knee that I would need to be able to get back on my feet, and return to work. Back in January of 2021 I lost my left leg to an infection that was caused by my diabetes, and became a Below Knee(BK) amputee. I was able to return to work by August, but unfortunatley in mid November of 2021 that same infection came back, and I was amputated again and became an Above Knee(AK) amputee. Since then it's been an up hill battle with my insurance to get the medical equipment that I need to be able to do everyday normal things. It came to a head stop when they denied my request to get a microprocessor knee that would provide me the safest, and latest technology to get me back to normal and back to work. I appealed the decision, but in the end they still denied it because they said "It is not neccessary for you to have this type of knee when your mechanical knee is sufficient enough to do things at home". My only option in order to get this knee now is to pay for it myself, but without being able to physically be at my job (I'm a restaurant manager) I have only been able to do minimal work from home which wouldn't come anywhere near to cover the funds for the knee. It would mean so much to me if you would be able to donate any amount at all to help get to my goal to be able to pay for this knee that would literally get me walking, back to my everyday life, and back to work safely!
