Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

For the first time in the history of Project Galgo, we have had to close our doors temporarily. This is at the worst time ever, as hunting season has started and shelters begin to get inundated with dogs in dire need of help.

Due to the increasing financial strain of vet bills and several surgeries and intensive treatment required for some of our dogs, we find ourselves in economical crisis.

We all know of the huge rise in vet costs and this has had a devastating impact on us and so many charities.

We began this fundraiser for our dear Timeo who was admitted to hospital after presenting with some very worrying symptoms.

Many of you will know of Timeo's story, but for those of you who don't, he was rescued by our amazing partners at Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert in one of the most appalling conditions. Active Leishmaniasis, severe alopecia, weak and without hope. He could barely keep his weight on his feet and once he was in their hospital laid for days and days. It took all his strength to lift his head. He had been suffering for a long time to get into such a state and it was very touch and go as to the recovery we so hoped he would make. A miracle happened... after round the clock care, a long period of treatment, he recovered and was soon well enough to come to the UK. He found a wonderful family here - Rosie and Bobby, who adored him right from the start. Sadly, Timeo relapsed and again had another battle to win. It was a rollercoaster of ups and downs, tests, different vets and treatments, but finally we hit the jackpot with finding his current vet Paegan and with guidance of FBM and the love of his family, Timeo's determination and courage, he braved it all and after several months, with steroid and skin treatment, he was finally over the worst of it, sporting beautiful fur and full of the joys! He was the best he had ever been.

He had his first holiday in Scotland which he loved, but on his return, something was seriously wrong. Pain in his joints, mobility and balance compromised and very low. He was diagnoses with IVDD.

The total cost of his treatment was beyond £3500.

In addition to this, another special soul named Rodolfo who was attacked by other dogs, leaving him with life changing injuries (he lost half a leg and his back leg severely deformed), he finally made his way to the UK into one our amazing foster homes. Sadly he began to battle infection, but thanks to laser treatment, wound care and management, he is improving. However, mobility is not easy and to prevent endless infection, he needs complex surgery which will cost at least £3500, that is without any other complications and aftercare.

On top of this, after consultation, young Nemo potentially requires surgery which could cost as much as £9000.

We are asking for your help - every donation will make a difference. We have lots of followers on social media, 10,000 on Facebook and 11,000 Instagram - imagine if they all gave £1. Less than the cost of a cup of coffee!

We are hoping to raise £12000. Every bit raised will go towards the vet bills and what doesn't, will go towards helping more.
