Princess Zelda's journey to recovery...

Donation protected
Update 2/3: Blind Baby Z had her surgery and is in recovery. It's a long road for her and a lot of adjustments. I have plans to buy special equipment and collars to help support her. My birthday is Feb 7th and I am hunkered down till I leave for my work trip Feb 11th. My partner will be helping with her while I am gone. I work full time and go to school full time. This has been a lot on me so any support financially is appreciated. Help me have a better birthday being in less debt!

Update 1/29:

We are so thankful for College Road Animal Hospital for all their help with my Princess Zelda. They have gone above and beyond.

This is a lot to process but the best way to help her live a happy life with no more pain caused by the glacuoma, we have to remove the other eye. Her surgery scheduled for Thursday morning to remove her other eye. I'm heartbroken that my baby is in pain again. Luckily she has meds so she is feeling more like herself temporarily.

I didn't expect this to happen but I will do anything to help her. She is my baby. She will be my sweet Gremlin of a puppy and happy again after this. I am manifesting that this trauma will be over soon.

For my birthday on February 7th I don't want anything, I just want my Princess Zelda to be better. If anyone has an opportunity to help donate, even $5 on my gofundme to help her vet bills. It helps so much! If you can't donate sharing my link helps too. I am pretty independent so asking for help doesn't come easy. I am most appreciation of anything.

First Post:
Many of you know how much I love my three Stooges. Bowser, Yoshi, and Princess Zelda are the best fur babies that mean everything to me. Their personalities and unconditional love is what has kept me going from losing my husband, brother, and the ability to have children in the past six years. I need a miracle and a break to help relieve some of the financial burdens I am experiencing with being out of work on unpaid FMLA recovering from surgery.

Making sure I have everything for my dogs has always been my priority in life and I was pretty prepared for my time off but then trauma struck again. My youngest, Princess Zelda, who turns three on December 4, 2023 has developed Primary glaucoma in her eyes. It happened so fast and to see my dog change because of how much pain she has been in has been so hard. I tried so hard to help her by advocating for her pain and anxiety so now they have her on 300MG of Gabapentin and Trazadone 50 MG 2-3 times a day. Not only that, 2 different eye drops 2-3 times a day while I have been recovering from surgery.

I did the best I could but she did not respond to the eye drops as the vet had hoped for. I took her in the vet again 11/28 and they confirmed she is blind in the left eye and will go blind in the other anywhere from 6 months to 3 years depending if she responds to the eye drops for the right eye. The vet is recommending eye removal at this point. I'm heartbroken for her. She is so young and does not deserve this. I wish I could magically take all her pain away. The cost alone for everything that has been paid so far is about $2,000 plus another $1,900 for the eye removal. Plus continued medications for after care post surgery. I hate that it cost so much to take her pain away. She deserves better.

I am pretty resourceful, prideful, and independent so asking for help is not something that comes easily for me. If you have any means to help assist my baby girl right now, it would mean the world to me. Knowing she will be taken care of is the best birthday present for her and holiday present for me right now because I need a miracle everyday.
