Roberta is an incredibly caring and selfless individual who runs a small non-profit dog rescue and sanctuary from her home that has saved and/or re-homed over 200 dogs. In addition to saving the lives of shelter animals, she has been a full-time working professional for 40+ years and recently (and unexpectedly) lost her job. 

Though it is very humbling to ask for help, we want to get help Roberta with her past-due mortgage payments so she can focus on finding new employment and getting back on her feet.

As you may know, the job search is a job in itself these days and it can take some time to even get an interview as someone with years of experience (many companies would rather hire a younger employee with little experience just to save on costs). 

There is a potential position lined up in the near future, but unfortunately, bills have accumulated during her time unemployed and her home is at risk of going into foreclosure on 10/17/19.

In addition, the rescue relies solely on donations, and if donations are low, vet bills and dog supplies are paid for out of her pocket. The costs of caring for special needs senior dogs constantly adds up, and the vet balance is rarely $0.

Because she is actively looking for work and is hopefully near the end of the job search, we are only asking for enough donations to cover past due mortgage payments, which will allow her to keep her home, prevent foreclosure and keep the rescue animals safe and secure.

There are unfortunately no other resources we can pull from at this time (family assistance has been maxed out and loans, and other assistance programs have been applied for and denied). The rescue operates on donations, but those are quickly used in ongoing vet bills and supplies for the rescue.

We’re hoping to be able to help pay most (if not all) overdue payments by 10/17/19 to stop the foreclosure process from starting!
