Phil Setren is a writer and a director based in London. This past summer, he entered his new play "Pretext' in a competition with Manchester's 24 7 Theatre Festival and The Portico Library as part of the '100 years of correspondence' art exhibition. The play was selected, and has been invited to Canberra's 'You Are Here' Festival. Other plays include 'Red Light Soho' and 'Three Minute Hero.' Phil has also directed new plays internationally, winning both a Time Out award and a Peter Brook Empty space award in 1994 and 1998 respectively. Phil is the founding Artistic Director of London New Play Festival, which has given over 100 new playwrights their first opportunity to have a new play staged.
