Hello family, friends, and kind strangers,

My name is Kayla Wilson. I am requesting your thoughful consideration and help in sponoring me to serve on this medical mission trip. I am financially responsible for all airfare, passport, visa and all travel expense. The total cost for me to go is 3,000 dollars. Your donations will only go towards expenses of the trip.

I am a junior at Georgia State University majoring in Psychology with a Pre-Med concentration. During my time at Georgia State I’ve actively participated in many student organizations and help leadership positions in a few of them. One organization that I currently hold a leadership position in, Pre-medical Students Making a Difference, will be leaving for a two-week medical mission trip to Delta State, Nigeria over the Christmas holiday.  We will be working with the Isioma T. Okobah Foundation, an organization that provides adequate health care and free services to anyone willing to come to the health fairs they host each year in this area. There I will be helping with medical care by taking vitals, teaching women how to give self breast exams, and dispensing medication.

My aspiration to become a medical doctor has always been very important to me, that’s why ever since I began college I have been supporting myself and paying out of my own pocket for my education. With the being said, going on this medical mission trip is not something I am able to afford. As the Director of the Pre-Medical Students Making a Difference Mission Trip, I have put tremendous effort into planning this trip and ensuring others raise enough money to go to Nigeria. It would be a wonderful blessing to also be able to participant in this opportunity of a lifetime. Donations, prayers, and shares are appreciated. Thank you for your support!

In Delta State, Nigeria we would spend a lot of our time working in villages like Onicha Ugbo and Igbodo to provide our services. In the past years, the Isioma T. Okobah Foundation held health fairs that attracted over 200 people, from each village, that had not received health care in years. Delta State severely lacks adequate health care and a majority of the deaths in this area come from conditions that could have been prevented through awareness of the condition or medication to treat it.

The unconditional love and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ is all powerful, but it will take all of our individual efforts combined to help send his message throughout our world and into open arms, and the arms of these wonderful people we wish to serve.

I am requesting your thoughtful consideration to help me serve on this medical mission team. Each student is responsible for paying for our own airline tickets, passports, visas and other expenses. The total cost for me to go is $3000. This money will provide entirely and only for the necessary materials.

Please join our team and become a part of this worthwhile medical mission; anything will help and I personally petition your prayers for this effort.
