Its not common knowledge, but I became unemployed in late June and I haven't been able to find a new employment. Right now, I am doing my best to survive day to day on the severance money I have left while also preparing for an important surgery on October 23. As a trans woman, this moment in my life already carries a lot of weight, and facing it while unemployed has added even more uncertainty and pressure to have stability in my life. To be honest, my pride kept me from asking for help because I felt selfish for wanting this, but I realized I am worthy of happiness, and there are people that want to see me happy. So Im trying this.

I understand that day to day, life has been a real mental and emotional strain on everyone, so realistically, I am not expecting a miracle.

While managing diabetes as I prep for surgery; I am trying to stay focused on my health and what recovery will potentially be without adding stress of not knowing how I will cover basic living.

Support from this fundraiser will help me cover the essentials for about a month including rent, utilities, prescriptions, and food. Most importantly it will also give me some breathing room for recovery-related costs after surgery so I can heal without the constant fear of falling behind while I continue to look for work.
