Help Ruth Overcome Her Battle with Cancer

Hello, my name is Ruth.

I am a wife and a mother of six children, four of which are very young (4, 5, 12, 14 years old).

I was diagnosed with a very aggressive and inflammatory Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), a rare type of breast cancer in that it has no growth receptors or proteins to utilize for treatment. Due to the size and placement of my tumor, I can not currently have surgery… the surgeon's words were “I wouldn’t be able to close you back up.” Due to my sensitivity to medications, my options are very limited when it comes to standard of care medications. For these reasons, I’ve had to take an alternative approach to healing.

I have been and will continue to trust in God completely. No matter what happens. Of course, I was hoping and praying I would be healed by now, having been diagnosed and fighting with metabolic therapies on my own for several months, but I do believe in His timing, not mine. His plans, I know in my heart, are good. So, I am not discouraged. In fact, it’s a miracle I’m doing as well as I am- not having metastasized (when the tumor spreads to other parts of the body)! Even the doctors have been shocked that I have no cancer beyond the left breast and lymph nodes. So the good news is, by God’s grace and direction, it hasn’t spread!

The bad news is, even with all our efforts the breast tumor is still growing- very fast actually; I am currently stage 3b. 

I have kept this diagnosis to myself, sharing it only with immediate family and a couple prayer warriors for as long as I could. Being that it is now very large and still growing quickly… My only option now is to share my fight with others and allow them the opportunity to help. I have prayed and prayed for guidance… and as scary as this is, I believe I am where I should be… right here.

I have an incredible opportunity to receive targeted therapies within my own state, however, this requires a great deal of out of pocket costs. Much more than we have available to us. But I’m not giving up, I have much more fight and LOVE left to give! I also have 6 beautiful kids and 2 incredible grandchildren… that still need their mom and grandma. I have things left to do here- I know it. Miracles can happen. This is why I will ask… Please, if it is within your means, consider donating and sharing this to help me stand a chance against this TNBC.

I continue to ask God to close doors that need to be closed and open doors that need to be opened… and to guide me every step of the way.
