Dewy Boyd Needs Support for Cancer relief

Hello, my name is Corry. I’m starting a GoFundMe for my father, Dewy Boyd, who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I never thought I would ever get news that my dad has cancer; it's not something any of us ever think about.

My dad has worked the same job for over thirty years, hanging drywall and framing. My brother and I decided to have him retire to save his body from the rough job of hanging that heavy drywall. My dad has cancer in his lung, liver, lymph nodes, spine, shoulder, and it's about to be in his blood. The doctor said he has stage 4 cancer and has 1-2 years remaining to be with us.

I am one of three boys that my father has helped raise. My dad retired because his body can’t take this type of work anymore. He has too much internal body pain. My brothers and I want to help him pay off as many bills as he can because social security benefits are next to nothing to live on and they don’t kick in until June. We also want to help accomplish some goals in his life that he won’t have enough time left to do on his own.

My dad, who has been a biker for many years, has done numerous poker runs for charity, including Toys for Tots and Hospice of Knox County. My dad is a great guy who has been very kind to everyone. If you could please help in making the rest of his life comfortable, we would greatly appreciate it. God bless you all so much. Please help us in helping him.
