Hello everyone, my name is Dayo Adetomiwa and I am the cousin of Opeyemi Balogun-Ogbara and Ogechi Duruaku who are daughters of Sunita and the beneficiaries of this fundraiser. 

We are creating this GoFundMe with a heavy heart due to the tragic loss of an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunty, and friend to many. With your donation, we will be able to give her a befitting funeral that she deserves. The money that we receive will be strictly for funeral expenses. 

Sunita, who was 47 became a victim of homicide on the early morning of October 14, 2021. She witnessed an attempted auto-theft in process and decided to alert people in the area and to also discourage these four teenagers from such acts. Instead, they turned on her. They overpowered her, stole her keys, got into her vehicle and proceeded to intentionally hit her with her own vehicle, not once, not twice but three times. Running her over several times in the process. After this evil, inhuman act, they drove away in Sunita’s vehicle leaving her badly injured on the ground. She was pronounced dead upon the arrival of the paramedics.

Our family is devastated at this loss and we are asking for your help so we can give Sunita the respect and dignity she deserves!
