Hi everyone,

It’s me, Princess Naija E. As many of you know, my mommy and I were attacked on the evening of December 18, during our evening walk by three bulldogs that got out of their yard.

Although my mommy wasn’t attacked, I was horribly mauled, suffering from multiple bite wounds, cracked ribs, a broken sternum, and severe trauma. Mommy rushed me to the emergency vet and because she had fallen and was covered in blood and dirt, and having trouble breathing, the vet called an EMT to make sure she was okay. Mommy never left my side while the doctors worked to save me.

Unfortunately, on Christmas Day, my body was just too tired and too hurt to keep fighting. Mommy held me, told me how much she loved me, and helped me cross the rainbow bridge (and join Paco) so I wouldn’t suffer anymore.

Mommy rescued me nearly 14 years ago (she likes to say it was me who rescued her ). I was her little shadow, her constant companion, and her good girl every single day since. Losing me is one of the hardest thing she’s ever faced, and she would have done anything to save me.

The expenses from my emergency care, procedures, medications, diagnostics, hospitalization, and the EMT services needed for her added up very quickly (nearly $11,000-gofundme limited me to $3500). In addition, she may need to seek legal counsel to understand her options, pursue accountability, and recover costs related to this horrific attack.
