My name is Ali. I am a nurse, a husband, and a father. My wife Aya is pregnant in the middle of a war.
We are a family of four, soon to be five.
But we’ve already lost almost everything.
Our home was destroyed. We’ve been displaced more than five times , running from one unsafe place to another, carrying our children, bags, and memories on our backs.
We now live in extreme conditions no safety, no income, and worst of all: no food.
There is a famine in Gaza. Food is either unavailable or unaffordable.
My pregnant wife Aya has not had proper nutrition in months.
She needs care, vitamins, and strength — but she’s barely surviving.
Aya will need a cesarean section to deliver our baby. But there is no guarantee we will find a safe hospital, a bed, or even basic medical supplies when the time comes.
We already have two children:
Alma, our 6-year-old daughter with autism who stopped receiving therapy due to the war.
Hussam, our curious, bright boy who deserves a childhood, not trauma.
And now, we’re trying to prepare for a newborn.
But how do you prepare for life when you’re surrounded by death?
We have no baby clothes. No diapers. No crib. No safe space.
All we want is to survive to keep Aya and the baby safe, and to give our children a chance to live.
If you’re reading this, we ask you from the bottom of our hearts:
Please help. Every bit of support means food, medicine, and hope.
From the rubble, we are still holding on to life.
Please, stand with us.
You are our last hope after God.
