Please Help our 8 year old nephew "Pickle"

If you know the Vallejos family, you know they would give the shirt off of their back to anyone that needs it. They are also ones to never ask for help, so after seeing the outpouring of people reaching out asking how to support Des, I’ve decided to start this for her.

As some of you may know Pickle (Juan) has been in and out of the hospital for the last month. There has been no diagnosis yet, but his body is failing to produce enough blood or platelets to be up and active. Dr.’s have tested for leukemia and thankfully that has come back negative. He has had 3 blood transfusions and 3 platelet transfusions in the last 3 weeks. While it has taken them a while to share publicly, it's something that needs to be done. The Dr.’s at Kaiser are still working on a diagnosis but if there are no answers soon there will be a transfer to a hospital in San Francisco.

Their family will be facing some financial setbacks as they take time from their jobs to be there for Pickle. Medical expenses will add up quickly not to mention the travel expenses for treatments, dr visits, etc. I feel that money is the last thing that they need to worry about and that is why we (as their extended family) are asking for your support along with many prayers. As Des and her family journey down this difficult road, I ask you to consider making a contribution. Please know, no donation is too small that would go unnoticed.
