The devastating floods in Nepal have taken hundreds of lives and left countless families in desperate need of food, shelter, medicine, and basic necessities. My heart is with the people and communities who are suffering through this tragedy.

I had originally planned to travel to Nepal personally, at my own expense, to help deliver the donations raised through this fundraiser directly to people and organizations doing the work on the ground.

However, my parents are already in Nepal, and I trust them wholeheartedly to make sure that every dollar raised reaches the people and places where it is needed most. With their help, I have decided that it makes more sense for me not to spend money on airfare and travel expenses. Instead, I will save that money and add it directly to the amount I donate to the relief effort.

The donations will be directed to trusted organizations and people on the ground, including the Nepal Red Cross and members of my alma mater, the Class of 1981 of St. Xavier’s School, Nepal, who have a long history of humanitarian work and helping communities in times of crisis. My goal is to make sure the funds are used for genuine relief—providing food, clean water, medicine, shelter, and other essential supplies to families affected by the floods.

I am doing it because Nepal is my home also, and when our people are suffering, I feel a personal responsibility to help.
