This was my Dad. Scroll photos and you’ll see my dad now.
Four weeks ago, my dad underwent routine surgery to help with his balance and mobility. Unfortunately, complications arose, and he lost the ability to breathe on his own. He was placed in a coma. After coming out of the coma, he was transferred to UCSF. He’s back in Fresno in convalescent care and has lost 35 pounds. He must now learn to eat, talk, stand; all basic functions by hisself. The medical bills are already piling up. Medicare will soon stop paying for his PT, OT, daily care; everything he will need to function on his own again. Rehabilitation will be long and grueling, and the costs are overwhelming.
We’re asking your help so they won’t be paying these bills every month, for the rest of their lives. If you’re able to donate or share our story, it would mean the world to us. My dad has always been there for others—now we hope others can be there for him. Thank you for any support you can give, and for helping us hold our family together during this difficult time.
