Gracie Miracle is no longer with us. Please see message from the family below.

”We kept our faith till the end as we see things in this life, but Gracie Miracle is now running around in Heaven with no pain.

Even when we don't understand the things that happen to us in this life. God placed that sweet little puppy into our lives for a reason. A reason that we may never know on this side but one day we will all know.

We often asked ourselves if we were being selfish for continuing to try to save her but to see her beautiful bright eyes so full of love and fight, we had to try. In the end, what we did for Gracie was selfless. We not only cared for all of her medical needs, but we showed her unconditional love that can't be measured in dollar and cents.

She was truly a Miracle and a blessing to everyone who's stood with us and supported her during this journey. I believe that through Gracie's journey, many of us have been touched in our own lives. You can't have a journey like this and not be touched in some way.

Gracie Miracle ❤️
She has shown us all how to have grace.
And she has her miracle now.

What a perfect name for such a little blessing that stepped into our lives and made us reflect on the importance of things in life.

Gracie Miracle will always be remembered as such.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all of your support. We have been immeasurably blessed and touched by all of you.”

We need prayers, alot of prayers. The next 48 hrs are crucial for this poor little pup. Please donate, even a dollar helps, but most of all, sharing is so important. I'm questioning a lot of what this hospital has done for this pup. Right now they ( Mom and dad) are syringe feeding her watered down ID every 3 hours then some pedialyte, and her meds. I'm super upset because if this dog does not start to come around by Monday, she's going to have to be euthanized. She has no strength, why wasn't the hospital giving her metronidazole, why weren't they trying to syringe feed her versus having a feeding tube for nutrients only...... so many questions. They gave the dog back to them for home self care as this pup is anorexic cannot hold her head up. The only good news is she is taking in all the food she's been getting fed to her. If this poor dog has to be put down after all this, plus over $20,000 in medical bills, you can bet I will call every newspaper there and have a chat with the woman they got her from. The next 48 hrs will tell which way is going to go. I'm so upset for the family, it's extremely frustrating to me. The hospital made them open care credit, and scratch pay in order for the dog to leave. This whole situation just sucks and the fact they couldn't discount the bill is absolutely disgusting to me.

My name is Cassie and one of my childhood friends adopted a German Shepard puppy from a reputable breeder. I know everyone thinks, “Oh a breeder, they are no good!” I assure you; they did their research on this breeder and for over 2 years waited for the right time and the right puppy to come along. My friend, no stranger to bad breeding environments, found it important to go in person to where the puppy came from so she and her husband, Jim drove to Texas to meet the breeder she had been following. While there, the breeder was happy to share stories and the history of her pups, even the retired and showed them around the property. The breeder’s home was lovely. The dogs were all clean, brushed and happy to see them. This puppy’s mom and dad were gorgeous, and every square foot of the place was super clean too. Most importantly, they both had good demeanors and weren’t aggressive. You see, they had adopted a German Shepherd years beforehand and she was mean to all but Mel’s family, but they made it work until she passed from cancer. While their former pup wasn’t very friendly to others, they fell in love with the breed and knew one day they’d have another join their family. This time, they wanted to know more about the history of their puppy before taking it home.

Mel and her family have always rescued, in fact, they adopted a little Yorkie from my P.A.W.S. in Tinley Park, knowing they were taking on a very special needs dog Jingles; she had constant seizures and they spent so much to get her regulated with medication and a lot of vet visits. Mel and her family were her angels to this dog and because with them, she managed to live 10 wonderful years.

Well, last Friday by the time they left the breeder, this pup came down with Parvo. The breeder is helping as much as she can, she refunded her adoption fee and paid for the first day of medical care. Mel got to take her puppy home on Monday to try at home care and I have been on the phone with her off and on as they were giving her subQ fluids and antibiotics at home, but as we all know, dogs can crash hard and fast, and it happened. Tuesday morning she had 104.3 fever and right away they went to an ER vet, where she’s been ever since. They named her Gracie Miracle, because for some reason this pup’s will to live is so strong! But now they have not only responsibility to save her life but also a very big vet bill, which is over $8,000.

I am setting this Go Fund Me for them because as they were angels to one dog before, they now need a financial miracle and some angels out there to help them offset some of this cost and be angels to another pup needing their help. They really aren’t thinking about this money, because at this point, they are just trying to save her life. She is getting more stable but not out of the woods yet.

Mel’s family couldn’t bring themselves to the point of asking people for money but because of the situation, I said this really is the only way to ask for help at this point. They are almost to the limit on their Care Credit and really can’t afford anymore. All help is needed, a donation, and or sharing this story. We must get Gracie Miracle healthy and home to have the rest of her life to look forward to.

We need to try and raise some money for them to keep helping little Gracie Miracle, even a dollar helps. Please share this story, the more shares, the more possible donors. The vet’s office will not take any payments towards her account, they don't have the staff and time for it. If you’re not comfortable on here, I can even send you a Zelle number if that's a preferred method of payment for you.

Thank you so much for reading and helping in any way you can.
