The goal for the seniors regarding this project is to understand the market needs for the small wind turbine market by performing a SWOT and Cost analysis to help position Pirate Wind Turbines as a leader in this market.
Pirate Wind Turbines is currently asking for donations to build a custom-machined, prototype of 400 watts to test side-by-side against an industry leader of the same wattage

If you have ever thought about donating to something that could have a significant impact in the area of renewable energy, this is it. We are developing our technology to easily integrate into existing PWM and MPPT charge controllers without the need for load diversion sequences or dump load resistors AND be able to perform well in high winds. I've been bootstrapping this project out of my own pocket
from day one and it's now time to ask for help. In the last two years, I have been able to build a 'Proof of Concept' and a homemade prototype we used for testing at a San Antonio based energy and propulsion lab with very positive and promising results.
