As part of her commitment to global community service, Piper Miller, Captain of the Summit Lightning U19 in Colorado, will be traveling to Taipei to hold a free 2-day Learn to Play Hockey clinic on March 7th and 8th, 2020 for 10 kids aged 6-12. She is hoping to instill a sense of leadership, self confidence and hard work to the children of Taipei, through her love of the sport of hockey, and her Mandarin speaking skills.

​For her Senior Project in High School, she is very excited to share her love of hockey with the youth of Taipei. Not only will she be leading this Free 2 day clinic, she will be bringing all the hockey gear needed for herself and 10 students with her abroad. The students will be able to keep the donated gear after the clinic. All of this will be of no cost to the students or their families.

Piper has been playing hockey in Colorado since she was 11 and has been learning Mandarin Chinese since she was 5. Piper has also played hockey for the International Northstars, based in Taipei where she helped lead her team to victories in both Hong Kong and Taiwan.
