WE DID IT!! We reached our goal and the Memorial Summer House has been restored to the water! More than 100 donations from across the Pines and beyond made it possible.
Come to the Pines and be sure to take time out to Celebrate, Dedicate, and Consecrate this important focal point for our community.
See "updates" for pictures on the Summer House progress (and prior update to see how this project has evolved)!
A year ago we said "our goal is to build a community of giving for this project to ensure all members of the Greater Pines family have a stake in our shared future." Our community can be proud of our success.

The Summer House Story.... so far
The original summer house was a part of the Pines until 1958.
In 1989, John and Eunice Kaymen made a donation toward the creation of a new Summer House in loving memory of their daughter Hallie.
Relatives from all over the Pines, as well as friends, donated in honor of their loved ones who had become spirits of the Pines. This summer house, designed by Ann Cochran Begemann, was set into position in the fall of 1990.
In July, 1991, there was a celebration on the point, with dozens of family members and friends speaking in remembrance of their loved ones.
Plans call for creating a new foundation on the point, moving the summer house, and making repairs to the roof and other areas as needed during the fall of 2018.
In July 2019 - with your help - we will re - dedicate the Pines Memorial Summer House.
