Pilar is a vibrant 33 year old woman who owns her own massage business and is active in her community of St. Petersburg, Florida. Pilar takes care of herself and her family with ease and dedication. Living a passionate life is the only way Pilar knows how to live.
What she did not plan for was that she was going to have breast cancer creep into her life. It has already changed everything for her, and she only received confirmation from the doctor a few days ago.
Normally she sees patients at her private massage practice; as well as teaching Ashiatsu Massage nationwide. Her goals and aspirations are huge!
Over the past few months she has already slowed down due to her mental, emotional, and physical fatigue. To add to that complication, she only has catastrophic insurance; which this diagnosis will not cover. At this time she is looking into insurance plans, medical financial assistance and she has been told that it will be very unlikely to qualify for any type of medical voucher program, due to a pre-existing condition.
Already, in just doing tests to confirm that she, indeed, does have breast cancer (Invasive ductal carcinoma grade 2, stage 3), her credit card debt has grown to $5000+, and there are still many more tests, doctor visits, surgery and treatment plans; all of which are extremely expensive.....likely to be in excess of $200,000! She hopes to find an insurance plan, or financial medical assistance very soon, but will very well still need donations to cover the possible cost of insurance, cost of living, and any treatments/testing that may not be covered. Until then she is reaching out to you to help in this time of need.
This campaign is to help cover all of these expenses.

Without insurance, funds are needed immediately. More tests need to be scheduled, doctors need to be seen and surgery needs to be planned.
