In December, our beloved pickle Tyler was diagnosed with Duodenal Adenocarcinoma, a cancer in his duodenum and small intestine. After undergoing an intensive and complicated procedure known as a Whipple surgery, which involved the removal of multiple organs and rerouting of the intestines, we received the unfortunate news that the cancer has spread, requiring further treatment.

Tyler is currently recovering in the Trauma ICU and must heal fully before his cancer treatment can begin. This journey has been incredibly difficult, affecting us in many ways, and we’re doing our best to stay afloat as he focuses on recovery. The financial strain of medical bills and everyday expenses is quickly becoming overwhelming, especially with uncertainty about how long he’ll be out of work.

Several people have reached out, so we’ve decided to set up a fundraiser for anyone who would like to contribute to easing the burden. Any support—whether financial to help manage bills, sending positive thoughts and prayers, or sharing uplifting (or silly and stupid) memes and cards—means the world to us.

We’re doing okay and are grateful for our strong support system. We’re incredibly thankful for the love and kindness we’ve received, and we truly couldn’t be more appreciative of our village. Thank you all for being here for us.
