Remembering Phillip Okoye

It is with deep sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of our brother Phillip Okoye on Saturday, May 21st, 2022. Our family is suffering this profound loss and misses him dearly.

 

Phil was born on August 12, 1988, and was the firstborn child. He was a family leader and always did everything he could to take care of his family. Phil had plans to start an online shoe business and had a passion for cooking. He was highly disciplined, a caretaker, a leader, and passionate about his goals. He loved to laugh and make others around him smile. He is survived by his mother, Roseline, and his siblings, Andrew, Newman, Caleb, and Mercy.

 

Thank you everyone, for supporting us by donating to our brother's burial fund. With your help, we nearly reached our goal of raising $10,000, which covered over 60% of our costs.

Although this has been the most challenging moment of our lives, it has been the most important. Unfortunately, we can't bring Phil back but giving him a proper burial was the best thing we could do for him. It is also the first step to getting the closure we need to move forward and continue to be strong for him. Phillip now rests at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California, as of Monday, June 13th, 2022 3 PM.
