Philip Grant

After a 15-year-long journey with cancer, it is with great sadness that the Grant family announces the passing of Philip Walter Grant.

Phil was many things to many different people, but the most important role he played was as a Husband, Father, and Papa. One of his favourite things to do was to have "Papa's special treat" with his family, which was always surprise ice cream. In honour of that, the Grant family would like to purchase a park bench in Phil's memory to be placed in Edworthy park. In doing so, our hope is for people to be able to sit and enjoy time and special treats with their family as well. Any funds raised above the cost of a park bench through the City of Calgary will be used to fund a private bench at the family cabin, where we will continue to make many memories and reflect on the cherished ones made there that we all share.
